Hyderabad, May 18: Dharmapuri Arvind sparked political discussion with his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during a recent press interaction.
Arvind referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking Revanth Reddy to meet him during a recent event at HICC in Hyderabad. Modi had also stated that the Centre was ready to provide Telangana with double the funds given to Gujarat over ten years.
The BJP MP said he did not know whether there was any “link” between Modi and Revanth Reddy. He added that he was only a small worker in the BJP.
Dharmapuri Arvind remarks trigger debate
Arvind further stated that Prime Minister Modi may have asked Revanth Reddy to work with him in a manner similar to West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari.
The BJP MP also spoke about senior Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. He said Venkat Reddy remained transparent and kept his word throughout his political career.
Arvind remarked that even making Komatireddy Venkat Reddy the Chief Minister would not be enough recognition for his service. He added that offering him a ministerial position alone was insufficient.
The comments by the BJP MP have now become a major topic of discussion in Telangana political circles.
