Motegaonkar, popularly known as “Mr Sir,” is the founder of Renukai Chemistry Classes (RCC), a major coaching institute in Maharashtra. The CBI alleged that the leaked NEET question paper was found on his mobile phone during searches conducted recently.

Investigators suspect that Motegaonkar played a key role in circulating the leaked paper before the medical entrance examination. According to officials, the question paper and answer key were allegedly received on his phone before the exam and later forwarded to several people.

RCC founder questioned over NEET leak links

The CBI has been questioning Motegaonkar for the past few days regarding his alleged links to the NEET UG paper leak network. Officials are also examining his reported connection with chemistry professor PV Kulkarni, who was arrested earlier in the same case.

Investigators said Kulkarni had previously taught at RCC coaching centres. The agency is now probing whether both men were connected in the alleged paper leak conspiracy.

Motegaonkar started his teaching career in the 1990s by conducting chemistry tuition classes in Latur. He later expanded RCC into a major coaching brand across Maharashtra.
