Hyderabad, May 18 (Maxim News): Telangana Director General of Police C V Anand visited the Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) and reviewed the present Maoist situation, ongoing anti extremist operations and intelligence initiatives being carried out to maintain peace and security in the State.
During the review meeting, the DGP appreciated the efforts of SIB officers and staff in effectively countering Left Wing Extremism and facilitating large scale surrenders of underground CPI Maoist cadres.
He said the significant decline of Maoist influence in Telangana reflected the commitment, coordination and intelligence based policing of the Telangana Police.
Focus On Rehabilitation Of Surrendered Maoist Cadres

C V Anand also reviewed the rehabilitation and reintegration measures being implemented for surrendered Maoist cadres.
He stressed the need for continuous support, reskilling programmes and employment oriented training to help surrendered cadres successfully reintegrate into society.
The DGP said rehabilitation initiatives play a key role in ensuring long term peace and preventing former extremists from returning to underground activities.
He instructed officials to continue strengthening intelligence gathering systems and maintain close coordination among different police wings while handling anti extremist operations.
Referring to the changing security environment, C V Anand said the Special Intelligence Branch must adapt to emerging challenges and closely monitor evolving social patterns and social media trends.
He particularly highlighted the need to study issues affecting youth and public order to help Telangana Police effectively address future security concerns.
The DGP also underlined the importance of proactive intelligence based policing in maintaining law and order across the State.
