Telangana Launches SERP Incubator Programme For Rural Women

Hyderabad, May 30: The Government of Telangana on Friday launched the Incubator Programme by SERP Telangana to support and scale 300 rural women-led enterprises across the state.

The programme was launched under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihoods Mission at Komaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan.

The initiative will be implemented by Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty in partnership with BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus and T-Hub Foundation. WE Hub Foundation will serve as the technical and implementation support agency.

The programme has a total outlay of Rs 21.40 crore. Officials said Rs 8.74 crore has been allocated for incubation support, while Rs 12.66 crore will be used for grants and zero-interest soft loans to women entrepreneurs.

The launch event was attended by Telangana Minister Dansari Anasuya Seethakka, SERP CEO Divya Devarajan, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Director D. Sriram, T-Hub CEO Kavikrut and WE Hub CEO Sita Pallacholla.

Officials said the programme will provide incubation, mentorship, capacity building, branding, packaging, financial linkages and market access support to Self Help Group women entrepreneurs.

The initiative will also support e-commerce onboarding, compliance readiness and enterprise diagnostics to help rural businesses grow sustainably.

A Challenge Fund mechanism has been introduced to provide grants and zero-interest soft loans to selected enterprises.

According to officials, the support will help women entrepreneurs improve production capacity, adopt technology and expand market reach.

The programme aims to ensure at least 15 percent year-on-year revenue growth for supported enterprises and generate nearly 300 to 500 rural jobs across Telangana.

Speaking at the event, Minister Seethakka said the initiative aligns with the state government’s vision of empowering women economically.

She said the government wants women to emerge as job creators instead of job seekers.

SERP CEO Divya Devarajan described the initiative as an important step in strengthening women-led enterprises through structured incubation and mentorship.

WE Hub CEO Sita Pallacholla said the collaboration reflects coordinated efforts between multiple Telangana government departments to support women-led enterprises.

The event also featured interactions with women entrepreneurs and Zilla Samakhya representatives, who shared their expectations from the programme and their business aspirations.

Officials stated that the programme is expected to create a long-term rural enterprise ecosystem and promote inclusive economic growth across Telangana.
