Hyderabad, June 4: A major fire broke out at a fashion store in Ameerpet on Thursday, prompting emergency rescue operations and traffic diversions in the area.
According to officials, the fire erupted at KSR Fashions near Metro Pillar No. A1043 in Srinivasanagar West. Fire brigade personnel and police rushed to the spot soon after receiving the alert and began efforts to control the blaze.
Ameerpet Fire Causes Traffic Congestion
The Ameerpet fire severely affected traffic movement on the main road connecting Ameerpet and Essar Nagar. As a result, heavy congestion was reported in surrounding areas during the emergency response.
Traffic police diverted vehicles to alternative routes to ease congestion and facilitate firefighting operations. Officials urged motorists to avoid the Ameerpet to Essar Nagar stretch until further notice.
Authorities also appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic personnel, firefighters, and emergency teams deployed at the scene.
The cause of the Ameerpet fire has not yet been determined. Officials have not released any information regarding casualties or property damage. Emergency teams continued firefighting operations as of Thursday evening.
