Addressing a media conference at the BJP state office in Hyderabad, Arvind criticized the Chief Minister’s recent remarks regarding paddy procurement and the Centre’s role in purchasing grain.

Dharmapuri Arvind Criticism of Revanth Reddy Intensifies

Arvind termed Revanth Reddy’s comments about dumping grain in front of BJP leaders’ houses as irresponsible. He said it was the responsibility of the state government to establish procurement centres before the harvest season and ensure that farmers do not face difficulties.

The BJP leader argued that blaming the Centre for procurement issues was inappropriate. He questioned whether there could be a shortage of transport vehicles for farmers’ produce when vehicles were allegedly available for other activities.

Arvind also claimed that the Telangana government had pending grain dues to the Food Corporation of India. He said remarks about dumping grain amounted to an insult to farmers.

Further, he alleged that the state government had failed to properly assess crop production and make advance arrangements for procurement. He maintained that if the government was unable to manage these responsibilities, the Chief Minister should step down.

The Nizamabad MP also criticized the proposed Bharat Future City project. He questioned the focus on developing new urban centres while existing civic issues remained unresolved.

Arvind accused the Congress government of failing to fulfil promises related to unemployment assistance, rural development, and irrigation project management. He also alleged that the state government had not effectively represented Telangana’s interests before the Centre.

The BJP leader sought answers from the Congress government regarding the implementation of commitments made to the public.
