NEET Exam | Hyderabad, June 6 (Maxim News): Telangana Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao reviewed key arrangements on Saturday. He held a video conference with district collectors across the state.
Officials discussed preparations for NEET 2026, scheduled on June 21. The review also covered paddy procurement operations and upcoming Chief Minister district visits.
Authorities informed that 72,956 students will appear for NEET. The exam will be held across 208 centres in 24 cities.
He directed officials to ensure smooth arrangements for all candidates. Coordination between departments must remain strong, he said.
The Health Department confirmed that infrastructure and logistics are ready. Transport, power supply, drinking water, and security systems are in place.
ADG Police Mahesh Bhagwat stressed strict security at exam centres. He also warned against rumours and fake information on social media.
NTA Director Abhishek Singh said special security measures are in place this year. The Indian Air Force will transport question papers for the first time.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed paddy procurement work. He warned officials about possible rainfall in the coming days.
He instructed collectors to protect harvested paddy stocks. Procurement must continue without delay, he said.
He further reviewed preparations for the Chief Minister’s district tours. Officials were asked to complete arrangements in advance.
Senior officials from police, civil supplies, GHMC, and other departments attended the meeting.
