BJP Condemns Revanth Reddy’s Remarks, Calls Them Divisive

Hyderabad, June 7: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Saturday criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over his reported remarks about national leaders, describing them as divisive and contrary to the spirit of national unity.

Speaking at the Pandit Deendayal Training Camp in Yadagirigutta, Rao said the comments were inappropriate for a person holding the office of Chief Minister and could encourage regional divisions.

BJP Condemns Revanth Reddy’s Remarks

Rao alleged that Revanth Reddy had expressed discomfort about saluting top national leaders, including the Prime Minister, President, Home Minister and Defence Minister. He said such remarks were disrespectful and promoted a North versus South narrative.

Questioning the Chief Minister’s stance, Rao referred to his visits to Delhi during his political career and accused him of adopting contradictory positions for political reasons.

The BJP leader also alleged that the Congress party was engaging in negative political campaigns instead of acknowledging the country’s economic progress. He claimed that India has emerged as one of the fastest growing major economies under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing party workers, Rao said the BJP has grown by continuously adapting to social and political changes. He described the BJP as the world’s largest political party and called upon members to strengthen the organisation further.

Rao also highlighted that Prime Minister Modi has completed 12 years in office across three consecutive terms. He expressed confidence in the Prime Minister’s continued leadership and urged party workers to work towards strengthening national unity and democratic values.

The remarks come amid an ongoing political exchange between the BJP and the ruling Congress in Telangana over governance, development and Centre-State relations.
