Bhubaneswar/Hyderabad, june 9 (Maxim News) BJP state president Ramchander Rao has sharply criticized the Congress government over the grain procurement issue in Telangana. Speaking at a media conference in Bhubaneswar, he alleged that the Revanth government had failed to prepare estimates of grain yields and had not been able to send the correct indent to the center. He clarified that the center will not operate grain procurement centers and that the center will reimburse the states for the grain purchased.
He was furious that even though almost 50 percent of the country’s grain procurement was done from Telangana, the farmers were being misled by spreading false propaganda against the Center. He criticized that the government was misleading the people by ignoring the problems of the farmers and hiding the facts. In the same vein, Ramchandra Rao made sensational allegations that the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy lift irrigation scheme and the closed irrigation projects had become ‘ATMs’ for CM Revanth Reddy. He clarified that they were not against the closed irrigation, but only opposed the ‘Gandhi Sarovar’ project.
Ramchandra Rao alleged that the BJP will continue its fight until the six guarantees announced by the Congress are fully implemented, and that the government is stalling to protect KCR in the Kaleshwaram corruption case. (Maxim News)
