Hyderabad: Singer and music composer Amaal Mallik has promised an unforgettable experience for fans at his upcoming performances in Hyderabad on June 12 and 13 at Quake Arena. The composer said audiences can expect a high energy show packed with Bollywood hits, dance tracks and a few surprises.
Amaal said he is excited to return to the city and perform before fans after his recent appearance on reality television. He described Quake Arena as a great venue and said he has been looking forward to meeting fans in person.
The composer revealed that the concert will feature a blend of his popular songs, personal favourites and possibly a few Telugu tracks. He said the setlist will reflect fan preferences and include songs that have received immense love over the years.
Hyderabad Audience Holds Special Place for Amaal Mallik
Amaal said Hyderabad feels like home because several members of his maternal family live in the city and in Visakhapatnam. He also praised Hyderabad audiences for their deep understanding of music.
According to him, music lovers in the city pay attention to every detail, from instrumental arrangements to changes in live performances. He recalled how audiences in South India often noticed even minor variations when he performed songs differently on stage.
The composer said many fans from Hyderabad have shared lists of songs they want to hear live. He noted that the soundtrack of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story remains among the most requested by fans.
Amaal added that the concert will not be limited to romantic tracks. The show will feature electronic music, Bollywood chartbusters and Punjabi hits. He said everyone attending the event will witness something special.
South Film Plans and Career Milestones
The composer revealed that he is in discussions regarding a South Indian film project. While nothing has been finalised yet, he said he would be happy to enter the South film industry if the right opportunity comes along.
Speaking about acting offers, Amaal said he enjoys music and performing on stage more than acting. Although he has received offers, including villain roles in South films, he has not found a project compelling enough to make his acting debut.
Amaal also reflected on important moments in his career. He described songs like Mere Dholna and Ami Je Tomar from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 as challenging yet rewarding projects. He said recreating the magic of such iconic tracks required extensive effort and collaboration with dozens of musicians.
The composer also highlighted his 100th song, Tujhe Chaahta Hoon Kyun, as a landmark achievement. Released under his own label, the track received widespread appreciation and further motivated him to continue creating music.
Currently, Amaal is particularly excited about Awarapan 2 with Vishesh Films. He called the project a dream come true and said it fulfils an aspiration he has carried since his teenage years.
