The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi announced that regular appointments for these services will not be available during the transition period. However, emergency passport, visa and attestation services will continue through the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai.

Current service providers BLS International for passport and visa services and SGIVS Global for attestation services will stop accepting fresh applications after the close of business on June 25. The new outsourced service provider, Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC, will begin handling consular services across the UAE from July 1, 2026.

Indian missions in the UAE said applicants with urgent requirements during the suspension period should directly contact the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi or the Consulate General of India in Dubai. Only emergency passport, visa and attestation services will be handled during the five day transition window.

The embassy also said a new appointment portal for passport, visa and attestation services will be launched before the new provider starts operations. Further details on booking procedures and service access are expected to be shared through official communication channels.

The UAE is home to one of the largest Indian expatriate populations in the world. Indian missions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai process a large number of passport renewals, visa applications, attestation requests and emergency consular cases every year. As a result, even a temporary suspension of regular services is likely to affect many applicants.

Indian nationals have been advised to rely only on official announcements and verified social media accounts of the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai for updates during the transition period. Officials have also urged applicants to avoid depending on unverified sources for appointment or processing information.
