United Nations/Internet/Hyderabad, June 21 (Maxim News): India has strongly condemned Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari’s comments that Muslim places of worship in India are under threat. It has made it clear that Zardari has no right to interfere in the internal affairs of the country. Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Ranadheer Jaiswal dismissed his comments as irrelevant and unnecessary.
Zardari made these comments in reference to the notices issued by the Indian Railways to the Ganj Shaheed Masjid near the Kashi railway station in Varanasi. Responding to this on Thursday, Randhir Jaiswal said that India categorically rejects the statement of the Pakistani President and that he has no right to speak on India’s internal matters. Jaiswal recalled the international criticism of the violation of minority rights in Pakistan and the poor human rights situation there.
He suggested that Pakistan should improve the situation in its own country before offering advice to others. He criticized that Pakistan’s national policy seems to be to promote hatred and communalism. India has long warned that it will not tolerate foreign interference in matters related to its internal affairs, especially in matters like Jammu and Kashmir, under any circumstances.(Maxim News)
