Hyderabad, June 25: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force arrested two persons on Thursday for allegedly possessing illegal country made firearms and seized weapons, ammunition and a vehicle during the operation.
The accused were identified as Mudassir Hussain alias Shah Baba, 24, a resident of Khilwat in Hyderabad, and Ameer Khan, 26, from Degloor Naka in Nanded.
Hyderabad Task Force Seizes Illegal Weapons
According to police, the two accused were known to each other and had previously been involved in criminal cases.
Acting on specific information, Task Force personnel intercepted a car travelling on Mailardevpally road and conducted a search.
During the operation, police recovered two country made pistols and seven live bullets from their possession.
Officials also seized the Baleno car used by the accused.
The two men were taken into custody and further investigation is underway to determine the source of the weapons and whether they were linked to any other criminal activity.
