Hyderabad, June 29: The Telangana Junior Basketball League (TJBL) witnessed high intensity action on Day 9 as the second semi finals concluded at the Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in Yousufguda. Teams battled for places in the finals across four categories, with several players delivering remarkable individual performances.
The semi finals featured competitive matches in the Under 15 and Under 18 boys and girls categories, with Vikarabad Mambas, Nizam Royals and Warangal Stallions securing their spots in the championship round.
TJBL Semi Finals deliver exciting action
In the Under 15 Girls category, Vikarabad Mambas registered a convincing 77 to 33 victory over Nalgonda Speed Strikers. Charitha starred with 34 points, while Aaradhya added 24 points to power her team into the final.
The Under 15 Boys semi final produced a high scoring contest as Vikarabad Mambas defeated Warangal Stallions 89 to 82. Krish delivered the performance of the tournament with an outstanding 56 points. Sidharth contributed 17 points, while Warangal’s Abhiram impressed with 41 points.
In the Under 18 Girls category, Nizam Royals overcame Ranga Reddy Raptors 89 to 71. Diya scored 23 points and Bhavana added 22 points for the Royals. Thanushvi led the Raptors with 23 points, while Jia Jithesh contributed 19.
The closest contest of the day came in the Under 18 Boys category, where Warangal Stallions edged Nalgonda Speed Strikers 73 to 69 in a thrilling finish. Shreetej scored 30 points and Aadvik added 29 for the Stallions. Reyhan kept Nalgonda in contention with an impressive 35 point performance.
The successful completion of the semi finals has set the stage for an exciting championship round, with the league continuing to showcase emerging basketball talent from across Telangana.
