Case Booked Against AIMIM Workers Over Alleged Threats In Balapur

Hyderabad, July 5: The Balapur Police have registered a case against a group of workers of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) following allegations that they threatened Congress activists during election related activities in Wadi e Saleheen, Shaheen Nagar.

The complaint was filed by Syed Niyaz, 34, a Congress worker and resident of Wadi e Saleheen, who alleged that the incidents occurred on June 30 and July 1.

According to the complaint, on June 30, Syed Niyaz was at the Congress party office attending election related work when local AIMIM leader Mohd. Abdulla Sadiq, along with several party workers, allegedly arrived at the office and threatened to burn it down if it was not removed.

The complainant further alleged that the group threatened him with a knife, used abusive language against the Congress party in charge, and warned Congress workers not to enter the locality.

Niyaz also alleged that on July 1, while Congress workers, including 64th Division BLAS in charge Fazil Qadri, were conducting a door to door election campaign near the party office, Thaleb and several AIMIM workers confronted them, abused them, and issued threats.

Based on the complaint, the Balapur Police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the case.
