Fake Diwali WhatsApp Message Promises Rs 8,000, TGCSB Warns

Fake Diwali WhatsApp Message | Hyderabad, Oct. 30: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has warned people about a fake WhatsApp message promising Rs 8,000 as a Diwali cash benefit. Officials cautioned that cybercriminals could use the festive offer to steal personal and financial information.

In an advisory, TGCSB Director Shikha Goel said the message falsely creates the impression of an official government scheme. It reportedly circulates in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asks recipients to click a link to claim the money.
