VHP Urges Opposition Leaders To Assist Ram Temple Donation Investigation

New Delhi, July 5: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International President Alok Kumar on Sunday urged opposition leaders to assist investigators probing the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He said those who made public allegations should share any evidence they possess with the investigating authorities.

Alok Kumar said he had written to the investigating officer handling the Ram Temple donation investigation, requesting verification of allegations made by several opposition leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, and Ram Gopal Yadav.

He said the leaders hold influential positions and that their public statements may be based on information that could assist the investigation.

Referring to allegations that more than Rs 20,000 crore in temple donations had gone missing, Kumar said the available information indicated that the temple had not received donations of that magnitude.

He said if Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav had evidence supporting his claims, he should provide it to investigators when questioned.

Kumar also referred to allegations made by Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal regarding the alleged theft of temple donations. However, he clarified that he was not accusing any opposition leader and only wanted investigators to seek their assistance if they possessed relevant information.

Commenting on the VHP’s annual meeting, Kumar said it was shifted from Ayodhya to Delhi due to logistical issues amid the ongoing investigation into the alleged irregularities related to the Ram Temple.

Responding to Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav’s criticism of the BJP leadership, Kumar said actions were more important than statements. He added that the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, had assured that the truth in the matter would be brought out.
