Amaravathi, July 5: Andhra Pradesh BJP Vice President Vishnuvardhan Reddy has demanded the immediate arrest of actor Prakash Raj, urging the State government to register a suo motu case and initiate legal action over his alleged remarks.
In a statement shared on social media, Vishnuvardhan Reddy alleged that some individuals were attempting to provoke people by making insulting remarks about Hinduism, Lord Rama and Goddess Sita.
He also alleged that objectionable comments had been made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
Reddy further claimed that there was a conspiracy targeting Andhra Pradesh and alleged that its activities were being coordinated from Telangana. However, he did not publicly provide evidence to support the allegation.
The BJP leader called for the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the matter.
He also urged the government to identify anyone allegedly supporting such activities and take appropriate legal action against those found responsible.
Authorities had not issued an official response to Reddy’s demands at the time of publication.
