BLA Claims Attack On Pakistan Coast Guard Camp In Jiwani

Islamabad, July 5: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistan Coast Guard camp in Jiwani, Balochistan, alleging that 30 Pakistani soldiers were killed. Pakistani authorities had not officially confirmed the casualty figures at the time of publication.

In a statement attributed to the group, a BLA spokesperson claimed its fighters infiltrated the Coast Guard camp in Jiwani and carried out a suicide attack.

The group alleged that 30 Pakistani security personnel were killed during the operation. However, Pakistan had not issued an official statement confirming the attack or the reported casualties.

The Baloch Liberation Army is an armed separatist group active in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. It has long demanded greater autonomy and control over the region’s natural resources.

The group has carried out several attacks targeting military, paramilitary and government installations in the province over the years.

Pakistan has designated the BLA as a terrorist organisation.
