They toured the UNESCO World Heritage site on Wednesday after signing a Letter of Intent for restoration aid from India. Modi arrived in Jakarta on Monday on the first leg of his three nation tour.

Officials said the leaders opened the conservation project aimed at stabilising and restoring temple structures. Modi posted a photograph with President Subianto on X ahead of the visit.

The post described the site as the majestic Prambanan Temple. Located about 17 kilometres northeast of Yogyakarta, Prambanan is Indonesia’s largest Hindu temple complex.
