Internet/Hyderabad, July 10 (Maxim News): Former Bangladesh Prime Minister and Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina has recently said that she plans to return to her country in December. It is known that Sheikh Hasina and several Awami League leaders came to India after the student uprising in Bangladesh. She had to leave the country in the wake of violent protests. A tribunal set up by the new government found Sheikh Hasina responsible for the deaths that occurred during these protests. She was also sentenced to death. The then Home Minister was also sentenced to death.
Sheikh Hasina recently said that she wants to go back to Bangladesh. She said that other exiled Awami League leaders will also go home. She said that she will surrender before the court in Bangladesh. She said that the authorities may arrest her. She said that there is a possibility of killing her. However, she said that she must go. Currently, there is a ban on the Awami League in Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina also said that she will demand that the ban be lifted after she goes home. She accused the Bangladesh government of putting extreme pressure on her party workers. She said that her main goal is to restore democratic processes there.
