Bank Holidays Next Week: Bank Holiday List From July 20–26

New Delhi: If you are planning to visit a bank next week, it is advisable to check the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar in advance. During the week from July 20 to July 26, 2026, bank branches will remain closed on three days due to a regional festival and the regular weekend holidays.

While physical bank branches will remain closed on designated dates, customers can continue to access online banking and digital payment services without interruption.

RBI Bank Holiday List for July 20–26, 2026

According to the RBI holiday calendar, bank branches will remain closed on the following dates:

  • July 22 (Wednesday): Banks in Agartala will remain closed on account of Kharchi Puja.
  • July 25 (Saturday): Banks across India will remain closed as it is the fourth Saturday of the month.
  • July 26 (Sunday): Banks nationwide will remain closed for the weekly Sunday holiday.

The holiday schedule applies to both public and private sector banks, including State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB), Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, and other scheduled banks.

Banks Will Remain Open on These Days

Bank branches are expected to function normally on:

  • Monday, July 20
  • Tuesday, July 21
  • Thursday, July 23
  • Friday, July 24

Customers in Agartala are advised to complete important banking work before July 22 due to the regional holiday.

Yes. Digital banking services will continue to function normally even when bank branches are closed.

Customers can access:

  • UPI payments
  • Internet banking
  • Mobile banking applications
  • ATM cash withdrawals
  • NEFT and RTGS through online channels
  • Online fund transfers and bill payments

Most digital banking transactions are processed without interruption, enabling customers to carry out routine banking activities during holidays.

Customers requiring branch services such as cheque clearance, document verification, account-related requests, or locker access should plan their visits on working days to avoid inconvenience.
