Hyderabad, Aug 7 (Maxim News): A special court for POCSO cases on Friday convicted Mohd Mohsin (44), in a 2019 child rape case registered at Banjara Hills Police Station and sentenced him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on him.
Police said the victim was 12 years old at the time of the offence. She alleged that the convict, her relative, raped her in May 2019 and had earlier sexually assaulted her on two occasions.
Following the complaint, the case was investigated and the victim received counselling and legal support through the Bharosa Centre. (Maxim News)
