Hyderabad, Aug 13 (Maxim News): Nampally court has granted bail to Accused No. 2[ Mehboob Alam Khan, named as the second accused (A2) in the high-profile Hyderabad advocate murder case of Telangana High Court lawyer and Waqf activist Khaja Moizuddin.
However, the court rejected the bail petition of his son, Mujahid Alam Khan, who remains in judicial custody as the primary accused (A1) in the assassination.
The court’s order follows police custody proceedings earlier this month, where the investigating officer from the Nampally police station was granted a two-day remand on August 3 to interrogate both accused regarding the planned hit.
Brutal vehicular attack led to advocate’s death
The murder investigation centers on a fatal incident that took place in May in the Nampally area. On May 23, senior advocate Khaja Moizuddin succumbed to severe injuries sustained in a targeted vehicular attack outside his residence. According to investigators, the victim was about to step into the driver’s seat of his parked car when a high-speed vehicle deliberately rammed into him before fleeing the scene.
Moizuddin, who was actively fighting legal battles against land grabbers to safeguard Waqf properties across the state, had previously survived multiple threats and physical assaults. Following his death, Nampally police registered a murder case and launched a multi-team investigation that led to the arrest of Mujahid Alam Khan and Mehboob Alam Khan. While Mehboob Alam Khan has now secured conditional bail, law enforcement continues to build a strong prosecution case against the principal accused as formal trial proceedings continue.(Maxim News)
