Hyderabad: Poco India is set to launch its new X8 5G and X8 Power 5G smartphones in India on September 4, 2026. The company has started teasing the upcoming devices, revealing details about their designs and large battery capacities.
The Poco X8 series is expected to target the sub-Rs 35,000 smartphone segment. The new phones are likely to compete with devices from OnePlus, Samsung and Nothing.
Poco X8 5G, X8 Power 5G Features and Specifications
Poco has revealed the first design details of the X8 Power 5G through its launch teasers. The smartphone is shown with a yellow rear panel and a vertically arranged dual-camera setup inside a square module.
The camera module also houses a flash on the top-right side. Poco is promoting the phone with the tagline “Power MAXXING”, highlighting its large battery.
The Poco X8 Power 5G will reportedly feature a 10,000mAh battery. The company claims the battery could deliver up to 3.5 days of usage.
The standard Poco X8 5G will feature a slightly smaller 9,000mAh battery. It is expected to have a different rear design, with dual cameras placed inside a smaller rectangular module and a separate flash.
Leaks suggest the Poco X8 5G could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. The phone is expected to feature LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The smartphone could also feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness.
For photography, the Poco X8 5G is expected to feature a 50MP primary rear camera. Details about the secondary camera have not yet been confirmed.
The phone is also tipped to run Hyper AI and receive four years of operating system upgrades along with six years of security updates.
The Poco X8 Power 5G is expected to feature the same 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness.
The higher-end model is tipped to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. It is also expected to feature LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage and a 50MP primary camera.
Both smartphones are expected to be positioned below Rs 35,000 in India, although Poco is yet to announce their official prices.
Poco is expected to reveal the complete specifications, pricing and availability details during the September 4 launch event.
