Hyderabad, Sept. 7: Attapur Police held a coordination and awareness meeting with DJ operators and owners ahead of the Ganesh festival and immersion processions.
Police briefed participants on the noise pollution guidelines issued by the Telangana High Court and State Government. They said high decibel DJ systems are prohibited during the celebrations.
Only Two Sound Boxes Allowed at Events
According to police, organisers can use only two standard sound boxes within the prescribed decibel limits.
Police warned that high powered DJ systems, sound walls and multi speaker setups are illegal. Violators will face strict action under applicable laws.
Police said criminal cases would be registered against DJ operators and event organisers who violate the guidelines. The equipment will also be seized, they warned.
The department appealed to festival organisers, DJ operators and the public to cooperate with the authorities. Police urged everyone to follow the rules and ensure peaceful and safe celebrations.
The meeting was conducted under the direction of the Station House Officer of Attapur Police Station in the Rajendranagar Zone.
