Akbaruddin owaisi | Hyderabad, Sept. 8 (Maxim News): AIMIM Floor leader in Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi demanded that the House should pass the unanimous resolution suspending the BRS MLC Tata Madhav who had made comments against the mother of the Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar insulting the dignity and women of the state.
Akbar Owaisi also demanded that the Leader of Opposition K.Chandrasekhar Rao who held the post of Chief Minister for 10 years should render apology to the women of the state for the comments of his party member, he said there is nothing wrong if anyone apologise feeling that there is mistake and strict action from the party side should be taken against the MLC.
On the second day of the Telangana Assembly Session, Akbaruddin Owaisi said that the comments against the Speaker Mother by the BRS MLC has made the people of the state to shame that such people are in the House which is insulting the entire women.
Apart from this Akbaruddin Owaisi also sought that the matter should be referred to the Ethic Committee and the Chairman of the Legislative Council. He said that the issue should be addressed firmly and closed after appropriate action.
Further he also condemned the alleged hyderabad police action against women legislators. He urged the government to address the concerns and ensure that the controversy does not disrupt Assembly proceedings.
Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu responded to Owaisi’s concerns during the proceedings. He said the government would consider the issues raised by AIMIM and take action accordingly.
Akbaruddin Owaisi Urges Focus On Public Issues
Owaisi also stressed the need to move beyond the dispute and focus on important public issues. He said the Assembly has several major subjects that require attention.
These include fee reimbursement, farmers’ concerns, water issues and 22A properties. Students and educational institutions await action on pending fee reimbursement matters.
Farmers also face several concerns that require legislative attention. Water remains another major issue for Telangana, particularly amid ongoing disputes and demands over river resources.
The 22A issue has also affected property owners and other stakeholders. Therefore, Owaisi urged the House to resolve the immediate controversy and return its focus to public concerns.
He called for action against the MLC, including suspension from the House, and sought closure of the issue. At the same time, he urged legislators to devote the session to matters affecting people across Telangana.
The government’s response indicates that it will examine the concerns raised by AIMIM. The final action will depend on the competent authorities and the proceedings of the Legislative Council.
The controversy comes amid wider tensions between ruling and opposition members during the ongoing Assembly session. The conduct of legislators and the dignity of constitutional posts have remained key points of debate.
Owaisi’s demand places the MLC’s alleged remarks alongside a wider call for discipline in the House. He has also urged the government to ensure that legislative business continues without further disruption. (Maxim News)
