Hyderabad, Sept 10 (Maxim News): The Meteorological Department has predicted rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana due to the development of a low pressure system over the North Bay of Bengal that could result in moderate to heavy rains and windy conditions.
According to experts from the Meteorological Centre, a low pressure area is likely to form in North Bay of Bengal on Thursday, with a cyclonic circulation around 5.8 kilometers above mean sea level. The combined influence of both systems will cause rains in Andhra Pradesh for the next three days, with wind speed ranging from 40 to 50 kilometers per hour on the coastline.
Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has cautioned people about the worst impact in the North Andhra districts. People were advised to keep a distance from big trees and hoardings during thunderstorm or lightning activities.
The forecast of rains by district in Andhra Pradesh state for the next three days is as follows: There will be light to moderate rains with thunderstorms in Srikakulam, Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Polavaram, Kakinada, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, East Godavari and West Godavari.
At the same time, the rainfall is going to continue in Telangana as well. According to the meteorological forecast from the city of Hyderabad, there will be moderate rainfall in the region for the next five days, and a “Yellow Alert” has been raised in a number of districts.
