Hyderabad, Sept. 28: The Telangana government has decided to resolve Urban Land Ceiling (ULC) applications pending for decades, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced on Sunday.
He said the government had issued instructions to expedite the review of pending applications and regularise eligible cases under the rules. The move aims to address long-standing land-related grievances.
Government Initiates Fast-Track Process for ULC Applications
Srinivasa Reddy said the previous government issued a Government Order in 2016 to resolve pending ULC applications. However, its non-implementation left thousands of applications unresolved, causing difficulties for landowners.
The minister said the government had issued a memo on Sunday to review applications filed under Government Orders 455, 456, 747 and 92. Officials have been directed to complete the required procedures and regularise eligible cases.
The decision follows Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s September 16 Assembly assurance to resolve 10 to 12 key issues related to Section 22A of the Registration Act through a fast-track process.
