New Delhi, Oct. 5: Union Minister of State for Personnel Dr. Jitendra Singh will chair the 17th Pension Adalat at IIPA, New Delhi, on October 5, 2026. The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare will conduct the event.
The Pension Adalat provides an on the spot mechanism to address grievances of Central Government pensioners. It brings concerned departments and stakeholders together to resolve long pending cases.
Pension Adalat Takes Up 897 Thematic Grievances
Since its launch in 2017, the initiative has resolved 20,676 of 28,797 grievances on the spot. This represents a success rate of 71.79 percent across its first 16 editions.
The remaining cases were subsequently addressed through inter ministerial review meetings conducted by the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare.
The 17th Pension Adalat will focus on super senior pensioners and family pensioners. Officials will take up 897 grievances filed through the CPENGRAMS Portal.
These grievances relate to 24 Ministries and Departments. Pensioners, family pensioners and their relatives from across the country can participate through a hybrid format.
Complainants can attend the proceedings physically or through video conferencing. The arrangement aims to provide wider access to the grievance redressal process.
During the proceedings, Dr. Jitendra Singh will release flyers highlighting success stories from the 16th Pension Adalat, held on May 13, 2026.
