Hyderabad, Oct. 5: Diamond and gold jewellery worth an estimated Rs 6 crore was allegedly stolen from a jewellery showroom in Medipally on Sunday night.
The incident occurred at the CaratLane TATA Product Jewellery outlet. According to police, unidentified burglars broke open the showroom shutter and entered the premises.
The suspects allegedly stole a large quantity of diamond jewellery and gold ornaments before fleeing the scene. The theft came to light on Monday morning when showroom staff noticed the damaged shutter.
Medipally Jewellery Theft Under Investigation
Medipally police reached the showroom after receiving information and collected samples from the scene. Police are also examining CCTV footage from the outlet and nearby areas.

Investigators are checking the footage to identify the suspects and establish their escape route. They are also examining whether the burglars conducted a recce of the showroom before the theft.
The exact quantity and value of the stolen jewellery will be confirmed after the showroom management completes its inventory.
