Mancherial Hospital Death | Hyderabad, Oct. 5: A woman died after delivering a stillborn baby at a private hospital in Mancherial early Sunday. Her family alleged medical negligence and staged a protest outside the hospital with her body.
The woman, from Gudipet village, reportedly died around 2 am after delivering the stillborn baby. Her parents and relatives accused the doctors of negligence during the delivery.
The family demanded action against those responsible for her death. Following the protest, police reached the hospital and held discussions with the family members.
Mancherial Hospital Death: Family Seeks Probe
Police urged the family to shift the woman’s body to the government general hospital for a post mortem. They assured the protesters that the circumstances surrounding the death would be investigated.
However, doctors at the private hospital gave a different account. They said the woman developed epilepsy during delivery, which led to her death.
The doctors also said they had counselled the family about the risks associated with the delivery because of her condition. According to the hospital, the woman was eight months pregnant.
