Faiz Khan said the Sixth Mahal restoration is scheduled for completion by next year. He said the restored space would help the institution increase its student intake.
Purani Haveli was the official residence of the Sixth Nizam, Nawab Mir Mehboob Ali Khan. The complex is also home to the Nizam Museum, which houses the famed long wooden wardrobe associated with the palace.
The trust said the restoration work supports the vision of using the historic premises for education while preserving its heritage.
During the event, Faiz Khan highlighted the school’s reported performance in EducationWorld’s national school evaluations. He also urged educators to focus on students’ holistic development and provide personalised attention.
He encouraged female students to pursue higher education and advised students to use artificial intelligence as a learning tool rather than a substitute for creativity and hard work.
Guest of Honour Farhana Ahmed, founder of The Happy Project, also addressed the students. She encouraged them to pursue their ambitions, enjoy learning and show kindness.
Trustees, management members, faculty and students paid tributes to the late Mukarram Jah Bahadur during the event.
