Waqf Fake NOC Scam | Hyderabad, Oct. 7 (Maxim News): The Chief Executive Officer of the Telangana Waqf Board, Mohammed Asadullah, has issued a strict clarification stating that the Board does not issue No Objection Certificates (NOCs) or land clearance letters.
Consequently, he warned government departments, registration officers, and the public against fraudulent documents generated by land mafias claiming Waqf exemptions.
Addressing the rising cases of illegal property registrations, CEO Asadullah confirmed that neither the Waqf Act 1995 nor the Waqf Amendment Act 2025 provides any provision for issuing NOCs.
Furthermore, he declared that any clearance certificate presented before registration authorities will be treated as legally void.

In an official press release, CEO Asadullah cautioned that the Telangana Waqf Board will bear no responsibility for fraudulent property transactions executed using forged papers.

Instead, concerned revenue and registration departments that accept fake NOCs will remain answerable for any unauthorized property execution.
Additionally, CEO Asadullah has issued formal communications to District Collectors, Sub-Registrars, HMDA, and the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration.
He instructed all registration officers to reject NOC claims immediately and forward suspicious land instruments directly to the CEO office for verification.
