Internet/Hyderabad, Oct 7 (Maxim News): Andhra Pradesh counter-intelligence officials have busted a network that was sending highly sensitive information related to the Indian Navy to Pakistan. The officials, who suspect that 18 people, including 13 Navy personnel, are involved in this network, were divided into 12 teams and recently conducted simultaneous raids in 10 states and union territories of the country under the name of ‘Operation Firewall-2026’. Two people were arrested on this occasion.
These include Annam Saivaraprasad, a contract driver from Visakhapatnam, and Pradeep Mukherjee, a Navy employee from Coimbatore. The authorities are collecting some evidence from these two, who are passing information about key defense installations in Visakhapatnam to Pakistan through encrypted channels for money, and are analyzing the seized electronic devices. The hunt is on for the remaining suspects. 3 cases have already been registered against this network at the Counter Intelligence Police Station in Vijayawada. (Maxim News)
