The proposed road will be 30 metres wide and will cover about 2.5 km. It will run from Istana Villas to Keerthi Westwind Villas and connect the area with the Greyhounds and Young India Police School zones.

The road will also provide connectivity between the Omkareshwar temple complex and the broader Musi Riverfront road network.

The project follows the foundation stone ceremony held by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in March 2026. At the time, the government announced plans to redevelop the historic temple complex as part of the Musi Riverfront development programme.

The government had earlier described the temple as having a history of several centuries and proposed its development as part of the broader riverfront and tourism plans. (Maxim News)
