Hyderabad, Oct 9 (Maxim News): By the time the Special Comprehensive Revision (SIR) process of the voters’ list is completed in the state, a maximum of 95 lakh voters will lose their voting rights. The last date for submission of Form-6, 6A, Form-7, Form-8 applications related to registration as new voters, removal of names from the voter list, and corrections in voter details ended on Wednesday. In this context, estimates of votes lost across the state are being released one by one. Before the ‘Sir’ schedule, there were 3.38 crore voters in the state.
However, by the deadline for submission of enumeration forms on July 10, only 2,64,87,213 people had submitted their details. With this, 73,39,235 votes who did not submit the documents were included in the absent/shifted/dead/duplicate (ASDD) category and removed from the draft. Out of the 2.64 crore voters who submitted enumeration documents, EC officials have issued notices to 92,88,181 people, and so far 71,23,526 people have submitted reasonable answers and qualified. According to the latest statistics, it is known that a maximum of 95 lakh votes will be removed by the time the final list is published.
So in the end.. it is reported that there is a possibility of at least 2.43 crore voters remaining in the state. So far, 4.88 lakh young people who are eligible to get the right to vote in the ‘Sir’ process, and 6,270 Indians living abroad have also applied for registration of their names. If their votes are also taken into account, it is reported that the total number of voters in the final list will be 2.48 crore. However, the EC officials will release the final ‘Sir’ list on November 9 on the basis of eligible voters and deleted votes in accordance with the rules.
3.29 lakh votes lost in Serilingampally
According to the ‘Sir’ draft list, out of the 119 constituencies in the state, the highest number of votes is likely to be deleted in Serilingampally constituency in Rangareddy district, with 3,29,828. It is followed by Quthbullapur (2,76,924 votes) in Medchal-Malkajgiri district and LB Nagar (2,70,284 votes) in Rangareddy district. In total, 2 lakh votes are being deleted in 7 constituencies in the state, while 1 lakh to 2 lakh votes are at risk of being lost in 17 constituencies. Officials estimate that Aler constituency in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district has the lowest chance of losing 10,227 votes in the state. It is reported that 39,715 votes are on the list for deletion in Kodangal constituency, which is represented by CM Revanth.
The situation in the city is like this.
It is learnt that by the time the ‘SIR’ process is completed, 40.21 lakh votes are going to be lost in Hyderabad city limits. While there were 1.14 crore voters in the 28 constituencies under Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri limits earlier, the number of voters has reduced to 71 lakh after the release of the ‘SIR’ draft list. This means that about 43 lakh votes have been included in the category of those who did not return the ASDD and Enumeration forms. Only 2,78,216 voters responded to the notices given by the election officials and claimed that their votes should not be deleted. This means that if their names are included in the voter list, about 40.21 lakh people will lose their votes. (Maxim News)
