Gajwel Tahsildar Suspended | Hyderabad, Oct 11: The Telangana government has suspended Gajwel Tahsildar Swamy in Siddipet district after he allegedly spoke insultingly to a farmer who approached him over an agricultural land problem.
District Collector K Haimavathi issued the orders on the basis of a preliminary report from the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO).
The farmer had gone to the Gajwel tahsildar’s office seeking a solution to his land problem. He is alleged to have been met with ridicule instead of reassurance. According to the allegations, the tahsildar asked him, “Haven’t you drunk pesticide yet? Are you still alive?”

The farmer reportedly asked in tears whether the official would laugh at his plight. The tahsildar is alleged to have replied that he finds it funny and that he will laugh.
