Sircilla JNTU Engineering College | Hyderabad, Oct 11: BRS working president and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao (KTR) has appealed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to resolve the problems of students at the JNTU Engineering College in Rajanna Sircilla district. He asked the government to remove the delay in building the college’s permanent campus and take immediate steps so that students’ studies are not disrupted.
KTR said the permanent campus was sanctioned in 2021 with administrative approval of ₹402 crore, but construction is still pending. Twenty acres have been allotted at Mandepalli village. Work has not started, so the college is functioning temporarily on the premises of a degree college at Agraharam.

He said proposals to move the college from its present premises to another private building could cause difficulties for students, teachers and staff.

He asked the government to ensure that the existing classrooms, laboratories and other facilities do not go unused.
KTR asked the government to release the funds needed to build the permanent campus at Mandepalli and speed up the work. Until the new campus is ready, he said, the college should be allowed to continue at its present premises.
He also asked the CM to direct officials not to issue notices to vacate the premises until suitable alternative arrangements are made.
He said the college plays a key role in providing quality technical education to students from Rajanna Sircilla district and nearby areas. He urged the Chief Minister to intervene immediately, keeping students’ future in mind.
