The advisory covers several locations, including Connaught Place, Mandi House, Patel Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, Lodhi Road, Jhandewalan and Central Secretariat. Overnight rainfall and possible waterlogging could further delay traffic in parts of Delhi-NCR.

Why Is the Opposition Marching to the Supreme Court?

The INDIA bloc has planned the march to raise concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Opposition parties are also demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi announced the march and said participants would submit a memorandum to the Chief Justice of India. The memorandum is expected to seek action over alleged voter-list irregularities and demand a halt to the SIR process.

These allegations remain contested and have not been established as findings of electoral wrongdoing. The Election Commission has rejected allegations of politically motivated voter-list manipulation.

The proposed march follows protests in Delhi over the same issue. Security arrangements and transport restrictions have therefore been tightened around central Delhi.
