Medak Poker Raid | Medak, Oct. 13: Medak Task Force police arrested three people during a raid on an alleged poker gambling operation at Hanuman Function Hall in Pothansettipally village, Kulcharam mandal, on Monday.
Acting on credible information, police raided the premises and seized ₹17,300 in cash and three mobile phones. The arrested individuals were identified as Satyanarayana, Shekhar and Narsimha, all residents of Kulcharam village.
Police registered a case in connection with the alleged poker activity and initiated further legal action.
Medak Poker Raid | SP Warns Against Illegal Gambling
Medak District Superintendent of Police D.V. Srinivasa Rao said police would continue monitoring poker and other gambling activities across the district. He warned that officers would conduct raids whenever they received information and take action in accordance with the law.
The SP also urged residents to inform police immediately if they came across poker games or other unlawful activities in their villages.
He said the department was working to maintain law and order and curb illegal activities across Medak district.
