Hyderabad, Oct 17 (Maxim News): BRS working president KT Rama Rao has claimed that graduates, educated youth and unemployed people will teach the Congress government a lesson in the upcoming Graduate MLC Elections in Telangana.
Rama Rao alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil its electoral promises. He accused it of disappointing students and unemployed youth through delayed recruitment notifications and declining employment opportunities.
He also criticised the government’s handling of the education sector, alleging that it had pushed the system into a crisis. These remarks were made during a party review meeting at Telangana Bhavan.
KTR Urges BRS Leaders to Prioritise Graduate Voter Registration
During the meeting, Rama Rao reviewed preparations with BRS MLAs and senior leaders from the erstwhile Warangal district. He asked party leaders and workers to focus on registering eligible graduates as voters.
He stressed that every eligible graduate should be enrolled to ensure they can exercise their franchise in the upcoming elections. He also called for coordinated efforts among party leaders and workers.
The Graduate MLC Elections will be held in two constituencies in Telangana: Mahabubnagar–Rangareddy–Hyderabad and Warangal–Khammam–Nalgonda. The Election Commission has begun preparing fresh electoral rolls for both constituencies.
Eligible graduates must submit a fresh application through Form 18, even if they were registered for previous Graduate MLC elections. The current enrolment drive is scheduled to continue until November 6, 2026.
Rama Rao urged BRS cadres to work together to strengthen the party’s preparations. He said the party should ensure that eligible graduates complete voter registration before the deadline.
The Congress and other parties are also mobilising their organisations ahead of the elections, with voter enrolment emerging as a key part of their preparations.
