Fake Number Plate Crackdown | Police Issues Warning
Traffic police warned motorists that fake, altered and unauthorised number plates are prohibited by law. Such plates make it difficult to identify vehicles and can obstruct crime investigations, traffic enforcement and road safety measures.

Motorists have been advised to follow High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) rules and install number plates according to prescribed standards. Police also warned against altering registration numbers.
Officials said vehicles could be seized and cases registered against those violating the rules. Residents have also been urged to report suspicious number plates to the police.
