The extension follows a request from Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharsan Reddy. Earlier, the notice phase and disposal of claims and objections were scheduled to conclude on November 5, with the final voter list due on November 9.

Under the revised schedule, the notice phase and disposal of claims and objections will continue until November 26. The final electoral rolls will be published four days later, on November 30.

Before the SIR exercise began, Telangana had 3,38,26,448 registered voters. Of these, 2,64,87,213 submitted their enumeration forms.
The remaining 73,39,235 electors were categorised under Absent, Shifted, Death and Duplicate (ASDD) entries and were removed from the draft electoral rolls.
Telangana SIR Notice Delivery and Hearings
According to the latest figures released on Thursday, 92,81,189 of the 92,88,188 SIR notices generated had been delivered to voters. A total of 6,999 notices were still pending delivery.
Hearings had been completed for 92,08,443 notices. Meanwhile, 78,108 first hearings and 1,636 rescheduled hearings had lapsed.
Over 2.59 Crore Voters Cleared for Final List
As many as 2,59,22,684 voter names had been cleared for inclusion in the final electoral rolls as of Thursday.
This included 59,31,395 voters whose logical discrepancies had been cleared and 30,64,168 electors classified as SIR 2002 unmapped voters.
The authorities also identified 50,690 electors as ineligible for inclusion in the final electoral rolls.
The revised timeline gives officials additional time to complete the notice process and address claims and objections before publishing the final voter list.
