Hyderabad: United Arab Emirates defeated India by six wickets in their Hong Kong Sixes 2026 Group C match on Saturday.
India scored 94/6 in six overs after being asked to bat first. However, UAE chased down the target in just 4.2 overs without losing a wicket.
Khalid Shah and Ansh Tandon powered the UAE chase with an unbeaten opening partnership.
Shah smashed 39 off just 10 deliveries. Tandon contributed 39 off 12 balls.
T Natarajan Shines Despite India’s Defeat
T Natarajan top-scored for India with 38 runs off 14 balls. His innings included three fours and four sixes.
Rahul Tripathi scored 24 off seven deliveries, including three sixes and a four. Captain Krunal Pandya added 15 runs off eight balls.
India lost early wickets as UAE bowlers Zahid Ali and Muhammad Farooq struck regularly.
Zahid Ali claimed three wickets, while Muhammad Farooq and Mohammed Faraazuddin took one wicket each.
Despite India’s 94-run total, UAE completed the chase comfortably. The victory strengthened UAE’s position in Group C at the Hong Kong Sixes.
