Hyderabad, Nov. 6: Neredmet Police arrested a man accused of multiple house burglaries and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth several lakhs of rupees on Friday.
Police identified the accused as R Chandra Sekhar. Investigators said he allegedly broke into a locked flat belonging to Padmavati on October 20 using a duplicate key.
The accused reportedly stole around 556 grams of gold, silver articles and pearls from the flat.
During interrogation, Chandra Sekhar allegedly confessed to committing the burglary with his associate, Shazi, who remains absconding.

Police said the duo sold part of the stolen gold in Guntur and Hyderabad for Rs 25 lakh.
Meanwhile, police are trying to recover the remaining stolen property. They are also conducting searches to trace the absconding associate, Shazi.
