Kadiam Greets People On Rakhi Festival

Hyderabad, Aug.26 (Maxim News): Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today greeted people of Telangana on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima festival. He said that the Rakhi festival brings cheer and add to affection and love among sisters and brothers in the families.

Sirhari said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been implementing several schemes of welfare for girls and women and the poor in the state. KCR is like elder brother in a family helping the women and girls to benefit through unique schemes. Since the birth of a girl and till getting pension in the old age the state government is providing necessary help and spending funds for their welfare and development he said.

The government is providing Rs 13000 to woman on delivery of a baby girl and providing health services and then dropping them in special vehicles at their residence besides offering KCR Kits. Telangana is only the state in the country for starting such a scheme that saw rise in institutional deliveries. Ever since KCR Kits scheme was introduced by the chief minister, government hospitals are seeing a significant with women for deliveries. A number of Gurukul Schools and 53 women degree colleges for women started for encouraging girls to avoid dropout rate he said. Srihari said that the government is offering Rs 20 lakh foreign education scholarship to girls also running KGBVs in abettermanner.

He listed out the programs like Mission Bhagiratha for purified waters, Mission Kakatiya for lakes revival, irrigation projects to increase agriculture production, Bathukamma Saries to women and pensions to eligible. The Government is encouraging talented women sports persons by using their services as brand ambassadors of the state. She teams are active for protecting the girls he added.(Maxim News)
