Hyderabad, Oct.28 (Maxim News): Caretaker Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today said he would make efforts to set up a Munnuru Kapu Corporation for the community’s welfare and development.
Speaking at Ashirvada Sabha at Siddipet here today, as part of his election campaigning, Harish Rao said the TRS regime offered best financial succor in the State which was never seen in any other State in the country. TRS supremo and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao offered Rs 8,000 per acre in two spells and also Rs 5 lakh crop insurance. Now the amount was increased to Rs 10,000 towards crop investment, which will be a major boost to the farming community, he said.
The KCR government has introduced Rs 6,000-crore Rythu Bandhu scheme to help farmers to get rid off their loans and related problems. The ruling party has spent about Rs 1000 crore to build 15 lakh metric ton capacity godowns to preserve farm produce in all the districts, which is a significant development as the farmers can sell the produce for better price in the market. Better education and health facilities are in place in Siddipet and elsewhere with adequate facilities.
Taking a dig at the Congress-led Mahakutami for trying to mislead the people, Harish Rao said if the Opposition was for development of the State honestly, they should come up with constructive proposals. Instead, the Mahakutami wants all the existing schemes of welfare and development cancelled and moving courts with false cases to sabotage them, he charged. The wise people will definitely throw away Opposition parties for stalling growth and misguiding people. He also said the ruling party would hike old-age and widow pensions to Rs 2016 per month from the existing Rs 1,000 and continue the schemes with more benefits to the people. (Maxim News)
