Talasani Sai Kiran Yadav is the son of Sanathnagar MLA and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. He was born on May 13, 1986, and holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.

During his time abroad, he realised that his inclination was towards serving people. On his return to India, he was involved with Asha Kiran Foundation, an orphanage and also a shelter for rape victims. Later, Sai started the Talasani Sai Seva Dal through which food is distributed to the destitute. It also provides free health services to the poor in Sanathanagar. Sai joined the TRS in 2014. Since then, he has been participating in all events conducted by the party. During the Telangana Assembly elections in 2018, he vigorously campaigned door-to-door in Secunderabad, Kukatpally and Sanathnagar constituencies.
