Cops Acting As Agents Of TRS: Konda

Hyderabad, April 2 (Maxim News): Congress candidate from Chevella Lok Sabha constituency Konda Visweswar Reddy alleged that police were acting as agents of the ruling TRS party and creating obstacles for them in carrying out their election campaigning. He also alleged that permissions to hold public meetings were also being denied by the police. Visweswar Reddy also alleged that the police were illegally arresting Congress leaders and workers without any provocation.

Addressing mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan, Visweswar Reddy alleged that the police were trailing the Congress men in mufti. He said there was overwhelming response from the public towards the Congress campaign. He said as the ruling party had failed to provide drinking water to each and every household in Chevella, the people in his constituency were angry about it. He made it clear that the drinking water problem in his constituency would be solved only through Palamuru-Rangareddy irrigation project. He also alleged that the ruling party has fielded an outsider, who was not aware of the problems in the constituency and fielded him as their candidate in the elections. (Maxim News)
